The Study Room Café CIC opened September 2019. We are a non-profit business, invested in supporting the local community.
The café serves as welcoming place for the community to come to eat and drink. We re-open 12th April and cannot wait to see our customers again. Please take a look at our updated menu.
Our classes will be held both online and in the cafe this Spring. We are running Maths and English classes for Home Educated learners and Maths classes are running on Tuesday evenings for GCSE students in the cafe.
More classes will start over the summer.
Since opening, we have held a variety of classes for the community including; Maths, English, Sewing, and British Sign Language we also offer one to one sessions for Maths and a Maths Mock GCSE experience. There is a classroom upstairs and we use the cafe to teach larger groups.
The café also is a good place for people to come and study, we offer Wi-fi and have a printing service.
The Cafe and classroom can be hired out for business or social reasons. We also offer a buffet service. Additionally, the buffets can be ordered in advance and collected from the cafe to be consumed elsewhere.
NEW - We are excited to announce that we are going to start hosting day-time parties when we re-open after the National Lockdown.
NEW- We are always looking for new ways to support our local community our project this summer is to support people who need help accessing technology. We have the capacity to offer IT support on Thursdays. If you know of someone who would benefit from IT support and help accessing the internet, we can help.
Went to GCSE English
with my daughter and can honestly say she wasn't keen but came out
all smiles and can't wait for next weeks lesson, great place run by great people
Visited for the first time today and found a warm welcome by the guy behind the counter, We found the cafe very comfortable and enjoyed the relaxing environment, perfect for studying. The lady took time to explain all the studying options with no pressure. We will be certainly be returning again.

Dani is really helpful and explains stuff in a way I can understand. I go to her math's group every week and it's really making a difference. The food and drink is really good too, so would recommend to give a go.
